An apprenticeship is a brilliant way to earn a working salary whilst gaining the skills, knowledge and relevant qualifications to pursue your career. All apprentices receive one to one support throughout the apprenticeship journey and are progress is monitored to ensure each apprentice is on track to achieve their full potential.

Throughout the course of your apprenticeship, you will receive encouragement from your employer and colleagues, as this is a paid entry role 20% of your working hours a week will be made up of learning by the apprentice training advisor. Your employer will be flexible and always ensure you are using this time when is best for you and when it will benefit your learning progression.

You will also have access to great training courses and a course mentor who will offer additional help and resources to improve your learning skills.

3. Gaining the relevant skills and experience

Having an apprenticeship allows you to acquire the relevant skills and experience in your chosen sector which improves your employability and allows you to progress quicker than taking the route of university.

Improving your employability is crucial as when employers look for the right candidate, they will ensure they not only have the right experience but also have the practical experience to go with it. This overall means the having an apprenticeship makes you a strong candidate and in a lot of cases you will find that your employer may be ready to offer you a permanent position after the apprenticeship has been completed.

Networking and connecting with people are essential skills in any workplace. In your workplace you will be meeting key people within the industry who could impact amazing things for future career opportunity’s. As you network with people at your company, in your industry, and even outside your field of interest, you’ll uncover opportunities to connect with different types of mentors.
