What will your responsiblities be?

  • To maintain, calibrate and repair measuring and sampling equipment

  • Provide information about asbestos risks to property managers
  • Give guidance to property owners and managers on actions to be taken when asbestos is present
  • Analyse samples for the presence of asbestos fibers in a range of materials
  • Undertake the collection of air samples including personal, background, reassurance, and clearance sampling

What to expect from the apprenticeship?

This Level 3 apprenticeship typically takes up to 24 months to complete. Not including the EPA (End point assessment) During this time, you will need to complete these qualifications to commence to the EPA.

These are the qualifications you will complete

  1. RSPH level 3 Bulk Analysis
  2. RSPH level 3 Air Monitoring and Clearance Procedures
  3. RSPH level 3 Surveying

The apprentice must also have a complete portfolio. This is mandatory to reach the EPA and ultimately finish the apprenticeship. The EPA consists of 2 assessments, a Practical Assessment, and Professional Discussion.
