Overview
The Senior housing/Property management role is responsible for the management and delivery of housing and property services on behalf of the business
As a Housing/Property Manager, you are in charge of the technical and operational capabilities of the housing company and how this relates to tenants, potential tenants and staff. This includes:
- Be up to date housing legislation and principles in accordance to UK law
- Understand local housing governance, court proceedings, contracts and data protection
- Understand the business planning process, financial and risk management, organisation values/structure and also the wide range of services available to customers
Senior housing/Property management Competencies
The job role consists of various duties that require a range of competencies. Some examples are:
- Evaluate and Interpret data to be shared with team, drawing relevant conclusions for decision making and planning
- Effectively communicate with staff and customers
- Have a good understanding of housing law and legislation
- Manage Finances, People and Performance, prioritizing tasks when needed
- Effective use of IT tools and Software
- Effective collaboration within the team and external services
Senior housing/Property management Entry Requirements
Selection criteria is usually reserved for Employers for the apprenticeships. As it is at foundation level Entrants to the role do not typically have to have previous qualifications in housing. However, candidates who also have a background in management, law or customer service are sought after
Exam Modules
By the end of the program an assessment is conducted consisting of a work-based project, completion of an agreed regulated qualification, A portfolio of evidence and confirmation of Mathematics and English at both Level 2. These will all be assessed and once approved an interview will be conducted regarding what the apprentice has learnt within the apprenticeship
