Love social media? why not have it has part of your job! Be responsible for all your companies social media channels such as Instagram stories, LinkedIn posts, Facebook, Pinterest pins and so on. Not only will you be managing these channels but also campaigns to engage customers/users as well as your team by setting goals on what the campaign wants to achieve for the company.
Their job is to create brand awareness across these different social media channels by creating engaging content that will grab their customers attention. You might of noticed a Facebook ad containing a product or service, an instagram post of a product linking to Instagram shop, a pin on Pinterest that links to the brands website, this is all down to a social media executive.
Goals and audience profiles are also crucial within this role. Setting goals within the team on a campaign allows this to be measurable. When data is collected such as website traffic, outbound clicks, conversion levels etc, it can be compared to previous campaigns to see what needs improving and what went well and what can be recommended in the future.
As a social media executive you need to be passionate about your role and the channels you work with by keeping up to date with trends and research. This allows the brand to bet the best of the best against the brands competitors.
2. Email Marketing Assistant
Another job role to come out of your digital marketing apprenticeship might be an email marketing assistant. Their role includes building an email list, creating emails through digital tools and creating leads through communications. These all contribute to creating brand awareness and reaching out to the brands target audiences and keeping them engaged.
Duties and responsibilities of an email marketer may vary in different organisations. Some of these include creating a variety of email campaigns and then monitoring these which will then lead to analysing the campaigns results, working collaboratively with a graphic designer in terms of the emails design and layout and ensuring these layouts are optimised for both desktop and mobile, segmenting email lists depending on the campaign and audience the brand wants to target and so on. This is just some of the day-to-day tasks to expect within this digital marketing role.
To become an email marketing assistant, you need to be able to understand the brands goals as well as their target audience profiles in order to get desirable results.
3. SEO Executive
If you have a passion for data and analytics an SEO job role might be more suited to you! An SEO Executive helps improves and optimises a companies website which will lead to an increase of number of traffic to this site.
To do this you’d be conducting competitor analysis of web SEO competition and how the company can out rank other competitors, be able to use Google Analytics to measure and create reports regularly, create high quality content through the use of SEO and utilising this across all content platforms. These are only some of the key responsibilities you’d undertake as an SEO Executive.
